Blackburn have confirmed that they have agreed a deal with Birmingham for David Dunn.

Transfer window special - click here

Bolton have been leading the chase for the one-time England international and have already talked terms with the player, who has also undergone a medical at The Reebok.

Blackburn, who made an unsuccessful bid last summer, have a long-standing interest in their former star and they have now made a concrete bid.

Rovers will no doubt hope that the lure of moving back to his hometown club will win the day for Dunn, who has never hidden his desire to return to Ewood Park.

"We've got permission to speak to David Dunn and we are now going through the normal procedures regarding a medical and personal terms," said chairman John Williams.

Well if Dunn passes two medicals inside a week, i guess we have all witnessed some sort of modern day miracle, although i would certainly ask for a stewards enquiry.

Well if he goes back to that pikey little club I hope he contributes to helping them get relegated soon.

I certainly won't be sending any best wishes to Dunn if he ends up back there.

Now I know this might sound like a bit of a conspiracy theory but how about this...

Blackburn want Dunn but want a cut-price deal because they know he wants to go back to the North West and think they can get him for next to nothing. Bruce tells Hughes to stick it and nothing moves.

Bruce then gives his best mate, Big Sam a call and gets him to "smoke them out" with an offer that Blues accept, a medical that Dunn passes and all of a sudden Dunn is seemingly heading to the North West and Blackburn have to put up or shut up!

Hughes realises that he has to match Bolton's "offer" and Blues get what they want all along!

Bet the results of this medical and agreement of personal terms don't take a week like they supposedly did with Bolton!

If you are really cynical you might even wonder if Dunn actually passed a medical with Bolton or not but I wouldn't dare suggest such a thing!

Just hearing Dunn heading back to Blackburn not Bolton after all.

From agent. Theyve matched the offer and I guess offered more money to player.

All Blackburn did in the first place was match the offer which was made public.
The new part of the story is Dunn making his choice which was not made public until now.

Good luck to the lad, but imo he's too injury prone!!! Buy him a new hamstring and give him a hip replacement, and maybe a touch of fairy dust, and he'll be back to his best!!!!!
